Client Policies, Payment Options & What to Expect
Everything You Need to Know to Get Started with Confidence
At In Touch Counseling, we value clear communication and compassionate care. This page outlines our most important practice policies—so you can feel informed, empowered, and focused on healing from your very first session.
Appointment & Scheduling Policies
- Sessions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance.
- 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Missed or late-canceled appointments may be charged the full session fee.
- You will receive an email and/or text reminder 24–48 hours in advance.
Payment, Fees, and Insurance
Private Pay:
We offer a premium, personalized care experience. Many of our clients choose to pay privately to protect their privacy and avoid sharing diagnoses with insurance companies. No insurance filing is required, and you’ll retain full control over your records and care decisions.
Insurance:
We are in-network with certain plans and can verify your eligibility before your first session. Please note:
- Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement.
- Your diagnosis and session dates will become part of your permanent health record.
- Coverage depends on your plan and is not guaranteed by our verification.
HSA/FSA Accepted:
You may use your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account to pay for services.
Fees:
Session rates vary by provider and service type. Options include 50-minute, 75-minute, extended sessions, and wellness packages. Please contact us for current rates.
Confidentiality & Record Keeping
Your privacy is a top priority. We follow HIPAA compliance standards and all records are stored securely. If you use insurance, session details and diagnoses will be accessible to your insurer.
For private-pay clients, no diagnostic label or session data is shared with outside providers without your written consent.
Our Approach to Holistic Care
Our team offers whole-person therapy that may integrate:
- Art therapy
- Nutrition psychology
- Somatic techniques
- Family support
- Mindfulness and nervous system regulation tools
These services are not always covered by insurance but are available as private-pay offerings to enhance your healing experience.
