Supporting The Body And Mind

In Touch Counseling Services

Psychological Counseling & Wellness Center located in Camas, WA

Supporting the Body & Mind

Mental and emotional well-being does not exist in isolation.

At In Touch Counseling Services, therapy is grounded in a whole-person perspective—recognizing that stress, emotional experiences, physical sensations, daily routines, and the demands of life can all influence how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

Alongside psychotherapy, Janelle may incorporate select complementary tools and wellness-oriented resources when they are appropriate for an individual's goals and circumstances.

These approaches are intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care or psychotherapy.

Thoughtful care considers the whole person.

Supporting the Body & Mind

Live life well again.

An Integrative Approach to Care

There is no single tool or approach that is right for everyone.

Integrative care means considering the individual in front of you and thoughtfully selecting approaches that may complement the therapeutic process.

Depending on your needs and circumstances, this may include psychotherapy, creative therapeutic approaches, mind-body practices, or select supportive technologies and wellness tools.

The purpose is not to add more to your care simply because something is available.

It is to determine what may be meaningful and appropriate for you.

Mind~Spa

Treat yourself to relaxation and rejuvenation!

The Mind~Spa at In Touch Counseling Services is a relaxation sanctuary where you can soothe your mind, body, and spirit. Come explore an experience like no other. In this space, you can practice yoga, enjoy relaxing music, melt into the chair while you enjoy a foot massage, center yourself in the meditation corner or sit by the therapy light on a rainy day and truly unwind, undisturbed.

Important Guidelines

- The Mind~Spa is a single user space -- only one person may be in the space at a time.

- Please help keep the Mind~Spa safe for everyone by sanitizing any equipment you use before leaving. Disinfecting wipes will be available.

- Symptoms of stress and depression can have multiple causes, including environmental, social, emotional, and medical. Please consult your health care professional who understands your specific situation before beginning any self-guided stress management or depression treatment program.

Alpha-Stim® Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation

Alpha-Stim® is a noninvasive cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) device that uses a small electrical current.

At In Touch Counseling Services, Alpha-Stim may be offered as a complementary tool within an individualized approach to care.

It is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care, and it is not appropriate for everyone.

If Alpha-Stim is being considered, Janelle can discuss whether it may be appropriate based on your circumstances and the manufacturer's and applicable clinical guidance.

Alpha-Stim Rentals

Alpha-Stim devices may be available to eligible clients for rental, subject to applicable requirements.

Because Alpha-Stim is a regulated medical device, use should follow the manufacturer's instructions and any applicable prescribing or healthcare-provider requirements.

iTOVi Wellness Scanning

iTOVi is a wellness-oriented scanning tool that may be used to provide information for personal exploration.

At In Touch Counseling Services, iTOVi may be incorporated as part of a broader conversation about wellness preferences and individualized self-care.

An iTOVi scan is not a medical diagnostic test and should not be used to diagnose disease, determine medical treatment, or replace evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional.

Any wellness products or approaches considered following a scan should be viewed thoughtfully and in the context of your individual needs.

Mind–Body Practices

When clinically appropriate, therapy may also incorporate practices that support greater awareness of the relationship between emotional experience, physical sensations, attention, and daily life.

These may include:

  • Mindfulness and meditation
  • Breath awareness
  • Relaxation practices
  • Sensory awareness
  • Creative therapeutic approaches
  • Other individualized mind-body practices

The purpose is not to promise a particular physical or psychological outcome.

Instead, these practices can provide additional ways to develop awareness, support emotional regulation, and connect with what feels meaningful in your daily life.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach

Integrative care does not mean doing everything.

It means being thoughtful about what belongs in your care and what does not.

Some clients may benefit from incorporating complementary tools. Others may find that traditional psychotherapy is the most appropriate approach.

Your care should be based on your goals, circumstances, preferences, and clinical needs—not on a predetermined collection of treatments.

Your Medical Care Still Matters

Complementary approaches are not substitutes for appropriate medical evaluation or treatment.

If you have a medical condition, take prescription medication, are pregnant, or have questions about whether a particular device, supplement, or wellness practice is appropriate for you, consult the appropriate healthcare professional.

In Touch Counseling Services does not prescribe medication or provide medical treatment.
