Acupuncture is an ancient form of holistic healing that has been used for centuries to promote wellness and balance in the body. It works by stimulating specific points on the body with very thin needles, in order to activate the body’s natural healing process. By activating the body’s natural healing process, acupuncture can help to bring the body into balance and lead to improved overall wellness. Acupuncture is a safe and effective way to achieve a holistic and balanced approach to health and wellness.

How acupuncture helps achieve wellness

Achieving a sense of balance and wellness can be an elusive goal, but through the holistic approach of acupuncture, you can begin to bridge the gap between your physical and mental health. Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that seeks to restore balance and harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. It is based on the belief that the body is connected and regulated by energy pathways known as meridians. By stimulating specific points on these pathways, acupuncture can help to break down physical and emotional blocks, allowing for improved well-being

This ancient practice has shown to be effective in reducing symptoms from a range of conditions, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. By promoting your body’s natural healing abilities, acupuncture works to restore the balance of energy within your body, enabling you to better tune into your mind-body connection. With regular treatments, you can begin to experience the health benefits of improved balance and wellness.

An Acupuncture Session

During your initial consultation the acupuncture practitioner will take a comprehensive history about the way you feel and the way that your body functions.  This along with other  diagnostic tools they use provide them with a diagram of the overall state of the body, not just a particular symptom.  The initial visit may last up to 90 minutes, including your first Acupuncture treatment. Subsequent visits usually last about 45 minutes and are done on a weekly basis depending on the patient’s needs. The course of treatments can vary widely. Chronic problems may take more treatments to resolve than ones that are acute. Your treatment course will be determined after the initial consultation and re-assessed after each visit.
